After Christmas Blahs!

IMG_1382After Christmas and all the beautiful decorations that made you happy have been taken down. Doesn’t your house feel blah and unappealing.

There a 5 things you can do to add interest.

1. Move your furniture around, look at new angles for your furniture. You many even need to move the rug, or better yet add a new rug. Color is key color always adds flair.
2. Add color with pillows. I love to add seasonal pillows to a room it can change the room.
3. Add a few spring accessories, like greenery on side tables. I like greenery this time to year to reflect spring emerging, budding type branches and flowers. I will only use realistic greenery, no fake colors that are not in nature.
4. With warmer weather approaching….NOW is the time to look at those window treatments. Nice draperies can totally make a cold boring room look warm and cozy. And cool and inviting in the hot summer months.
5. Art! This is a fantastic way to change your room. New art. Add color or go with tone on tone. Monochromic! . Choose art that speaks to you and not that it matches your sofa or rug.

How ever and what ever makes you feel happy about your house just maybe a few changes.
Until next time…remember you heard it through The Grapevine Home.

UGH! Your foyer is to die for! I’m sure now after taking the tree garland and lights down the foyer seems bare…so sad! But beautiful job, I love it!
